Canadian jazz trumpeter and pianist Brad Turner returns with a trio recording North Star. He has won three Juno Awards and six Canadian National Jazz Awards for categories including Jazz Trumpeter of the Year, Jazz Composer of the Year, and Musician of the Year. He was one of the founding members of the jazz fusion group Metalwood. The band played together until 2003 and reunited for the 2016 album Twenty, for their 20th anniversary. The group won a Juno Award as best group jazz album of the year.

North Star is his fourth release for Cellar Live including his 2 quartet albums “Jump Up” and “It’s That Time” and his 2018 album “Pacific”. Purchase all 4 digital albums and receive a 30% discounted price.

The new 8-song trio recording features Turner on piano with Darren Radtke on bass and Bernie Arai on drums. All tracks are composed by Turner.
